The brutal murder of Arshad Sharif has put a question mark on freedom of expression not only in Pakistan but in the whole world.  The manner in which a beautiful and smiling human being was bathed in blood is less to be condemned.  This is a loss that is not only for a family but as a whole it is a loss for Pakistani journalism that cannot be recovered.

Arshad Sharif was a journalist known for programming with documents.  He was known as a journalist who did not believe in talking without statistics.  His departure like this has shocked the entire journalistic community as well as the whole of Pakistan.  The killing of Arshad Sharif has left many questions.  We have to find answers to these questions sooner or later.  Otherwise, whose turn will come when, nothing can be said.

There are some reports related to this tragic accident, which are certainly being criticized, but accurate, impartial and transparent investigation is the need of the hour.  No matter how many things we do, it is impossible to deny the fact that we have to consider the circumstances and events up to a few months before his departure from Pakistan and frame the investigation accordingly.  But the sad part is that we as a nation are not only morally degenerate but are continuing to degenerate with each passing day.  An investigation into the brutal manner in which Arshad Sharif was killed has been announced and a two-member investigation team has left for Kenya.  But his journey from Pakistan to Dubai, going from Dubai to Kenya and being a victim of such a tragic accident in Kenya are moments of concern for the intellectuals.

The point of surprise is that we have started seeing the murder of Arshad Sharif also under partisanship.  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf believes that the statement of the deceased was more in favor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, so he is an asset of PTI and by giving him the status of a martyr, the entire party is calling him a personal loss and completely in his favor.  Cashing is in progress.

A bullet fired at a victim sees nothing.  Bullet has no eyes, it is blind.  She rips the veins by putting every thought, worry, narrative behind.  Instead of criticizing, cursing, insulting and throwing turbans, turn your words towards an independent investigation of this murder.  Pay attention to transparent investigations so that milk becomes milk and water is water.  This will be important not only for Pakistan and the journalistic community but also for freedom of expression.  Caution is the demand of time and circumstances.  Instead of blaming specific organizations for this murder, the truth should be found.
