Global Warming
Global warming and climate change is very dangerous every corner of the planet. Experts believe that major changes have taken place on Earth during the last 30 years. In some places the temperature increases, in some places it rains, in some places there is a series of floods, in some places there is a drought, etc. Intensity of heat is being felt in other countries of Europe including Britain. The drought in Britain is increasing every year.
The rains are decreasing. Continuous heat waves affected large parts of Europe from August 2022, with the highest temperature recorded in Pinhao, Portugal on July 14 at 47 degrees Celsius. In the month of July alone, the death rate in Europe was 16% higher. According to a report published on September 16, 2022, there were 53,000 additional deaths in Europe in the month of July, mostly due to heat waves. Climate change is affecting not only.
Europe, but every continent in
the world, many rivers have dried up due to drought in China, while other
countries including Japan and America are in the grip of hurricanes. This year Watan-e-Aziz has been worst affected by climate change. The devastating rains and floods in Pakistan
created stories of devastation in all four provinces that shook the whole world.
The flood specially the main reason extensive
damage to standing crops, houses and bridges. Most of the areas were cut off
from each other, millions of cattle were swept away in the flood channels. According to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto
Zardari, Pakistan is under water as much as the area of England. During the recent flood, not only more than
one and a half thousand precious lives were lost in Pakistan, but also
economically the back of the country has been broken. According to an estimate, more than 30
billion dollars have been lost as a result of the recent floods in Pakistan.
Experts say that the increase in
the use of natural coal, oil and gas is adversely affecting the natural
environment. As a result, the earth's
temperature is rising rapidly, which is called global warming, and as a result,
glaciers are melting faster, which is causing the sea level to rise. The sea level has risen by 20 cm in the last
20 years. In the light of environmental
studies, it is coming out that the temperature of the earth is continuously
increasing.
According to a study, the Earth's temperature has increased by 0.75
degree Celsius in the last century.
According to the assessment report of the International Panel on Climate
Change, which was published in 2018, the average temperature of the Earth may
increase from 2.0 degrees Celsius to 4.5 degrees Celsius in the coming
time. According to another estimate, the
rise could be as much as 6 degrees Celsius.
Due to this rising temperature, the chances of forest fires, floods and
droughts have increased significantly around the world.
What the whole world is reaping
today is the sowing of man's own hands, although every country raises its voice
to deal with climate change at the global level, but practical steps are not
taken. During the recent General
Assembly meeting, the issue of climate change was also an important topic, but
will the countries in the race to outdo each other take any practical steps in
this regard? Only time will tell.
